UV Protection Info & Care Guide

The guidance image above reflects our 99.7% UV Protective acrylic, available as a premium upgrade on most of our frames. We also have some sheets available which test even higher at 99.9% UVR. The guidance is the same for all products regardless of sheet choice.

Choosing Your Glazing:

- Premium UV Acrylic: Offers up to 99.9% UV filtration. (We use some specialist options, including Artglass Lifetime and Acryguard brands, more are available upon request).

- Standard Acrylic (Styrene): Our budget-friendly option for when UV protection is not required.

- Note: If a listing does not offer a specific choice, we generally use a highly protective option (90%+ UVR). At the time of writing the most popular sheet is testing at 93% UVR on average. Please check the options listed or contact us for clarification.

Our Testing & Verification: At Ridanco Displays, we regularly verify our materials using an in-house light transmission testing machine. Can other frame suppliers verify their specs with live evidence? Upon request prior to your order, we are happy to provide timestamped photos or a video of the test results for the exact sheet used during your frame build.

Important Display Limitations: No acrylic or glass sheet will ever fully prevent fading. Light and heat can cause damage even when highly UV protective acrylic is used. Therefore, we can offer no guarantees on fading prevention. All advertised UVR percentages are communicated with our best efforts of accuracy but should only be considered an approximate. You must consider all guidance and display your items responsibly
Handmade framing meets card collecting! It's time to show off those raw cards in a printed showpiece frame. Why not try a gold frame, or a vibrant red - choose from almost 20 colours, all handmade in our custom picture framing studio. They're sleek, they're clean, and joined as well as any larger frame in our catalogue.

Each Showpiece Raw Card Frame includes the mount with a premium card sleeve pre-taped in the ideal position, behind an attractive printed and bevel cut mountboard for a framed art presentation, and premium acrylic sheeting at the front. All our frames are professionally mitred and underpinned in the corners for strength. For these Showpiece Raw frames we include a strut back (built in stand) which folds away neatly if not required, as well as a pre-installed wall hanger - so you can use them either way.

What's more, at their small size; for these showpiece frames we have a special price from our materials supplier for Museum-grade, low static 99.9% UVR acrylic (which we have verified on our machine), and it is low reflection too! Well worth considering upgrading to. Or for those lower value cards, another great choice of acrylic is available for this listing too - that's our 2mm Display Acrylic, which at the time of writing is testing at approximately 93% UVR itself.

Care Tip: For optimal preservation, keep displays out of direct sunlight and away from intense heat, as no glazing offers 100% protection against all types of light and heat damage.
