UV Protection Info & Care Guide

The guidance image above reflects our 99.7% UV Protective acrylic, available as a premium upgrade on most of our frames. We also have some sheets available which test even higher at 99.9% UVR. The guidance is the same for all products regardless of sheet choice.

Choosing Your Glazing:

- Premium UV Acrylic: Offers up to 99.9% UV filtration. (We use some specialist options, including Artglass Lifetime and Acryguard brands, more are available upon request).

- Standard Acrylic (Styrene): Our budget-friendly option for when UV protection is not required.

- Note: If a listing does not offer a specific choice, we generally use a highly protective option (90%+ UVR). Please check the description or contact us for clarification.

Our Testing & Verification: At Ridanco Displays, we regularly verify our materials using an in-house light transmission testing machine. Can other frame suppliers verify their specs with live evidence? Upon request prior to your order, we are happy to provide timestamped photos or a video of the test results for the exact sheet used during your frame build.

Important Display Limitations: No acrylic or glass sheet will ever fully prevent fading. Light and heat can cause damage even when highly UV protective acrylic is used. Therefore, we can offer no guarantees on fading prevention. You must consider all guidance and display your items responsibly.
Don't hide your slabs away! Display them proudly in these purpose made graded trading card frames. With size choices for any card grading company (please see size notes*).

These are made to order with a custom cut mount and attached foam layer to hold your slabs in position behind each bevelled cut opening in the mountboard. Premium acrylic sheeting with excellent UV resistance will help keep your collection well protected and free from dust. Our solid wood frames are professionally made with strong joins and handmade care and attention. Behind your slabs, the backing board is a reversible black/white mountboard which works as a great backdrop in either colour as per your preference, separating your slabs from the outer MDF board.

We can create frames in any layout and size, with custom colours and for different slab sizes - just contact us.

- This 35 Slab frame uses a 39x29mm moulding, externally sized 29x33 inch approx.

*Size notes and disclaimer:
- Select 'PSA' for regular PSA slabs (the 6mm deep ones used for most TCG and some sports). For deeper slabs, please contact us.
- For 'PSA Equivalent 6mm deep slabs' such as MGC, Get Graded & Treefrog, you can select 'PSA'. This also applies to older PG 'Pokegrade' slabs.
- Selecting 'CGC' results in us using the same size mount as PSA, but with 8mm deep foam rather than 6mm deep foam. You can use a 'CGC' frame as a hybrid frame (PSA & CGC) effectively, with minor PSA slab movement.  
- Select 'BGS' for regular BGS slabs (the 9mm deep ones). For deeper BGS slabs please contact us first.
- For uniquely sized slabs, just contact us first. We are familiar with many more including; PCA, SGC, Only Graded, PG Grading

Please note that your choice of slab type determines both the aperture size and foam depth/positioning. It is very important to the preparation of the frame. Furthermore some companies such as PSA and BGS have alternative deeper slabs for deeper cards, up to 4mm thicker than normal slabs. Unless instructed, we will prepare your frame for the far more common 'standard/slimmer(TCG)' slabs of your choice. If in doubt, please contact us before ordering.
