Opening & Closing Your Frame
Loading your collectibles into a Ridanco frame is designed to be a straightforward, secure process. We use intuitive hardware which you've likely seen before if you have ever seen or used a standard picture frame. Items are held tightly in place in their openings with a rigid backing panel giving the frame the strength it needs to keep your collectibles held forward in a uniform position.
The Flexi-Tab System
The backing of our frames is secured using flexible metal tabs (flexi-tabs). To open your frame, simply bend these tabs upwards and lift out the contents. For ease and safety, we highly recommend using a flat, blunt tool - like a butter knife or a flathead screwdriver - to gently lift the tabs rather than using your fingernails. Once the back panel is lifted out, items can be loaded into the desired positions within the mount holder.

Managing Protective Film
When you first receive your frame, you will notice a protective film on both sides of the acrylic glazing. We intentionally leave this on during the manufacturing and shipping process to ensure you receive a factory-fresh, scratch-free product. Leaving the film on until the very last moment of assembly is the best way to prevent static build-up and keep pesky dust particles out of your final display. Protective films vary in colour depending on the sheet product used, and may arrive with small scratches - but any scratches will only be in the film, not deep enough to reach the sheet itself - our quality control makes sure of that. You'll notice in this photo, we left the front film attached for this Team Rocket PSA set (just slightly peeled at the edges for convenience), then when the customer collected it they peeled it off for that stunning reveal.
Closing The Frame
After placing your collectibles and re-inserting the backing panel, you're ready to close the frame. Repeat the initial step in reverse, simply folding down the metal tabs - again ensuring you use a blunt tool to avoid hurting your fingers. It can be useful to just close a single metal tab per side first, and carefully check the face of the frame for any unsightly dust or incorrectly positioned collectibles, as it will be easier to re-open now than after fully closing the frame. Once you are happy, fully close all the tabs and you can then hang the frame. Note, as the frames are intended to be used long term and not regularly opened, after many repeated bends back and forth, flexi-tabs will eventually break, but fear not as we install many more flexi tabs than are required. Flexi-tabs can also easily be replaced using flexi-tab drivers which are widely available online and we can make recommendations.
