Opening & Closing Your Frame

Loading your collectibles into a Ridanco frame is designed to be a straightforward, secure process. We use high-quality hardware to ensure your items are held tightly in place while remaining easy to access whenever you want to update your display.

Demonstration of using a flat tool to open flexi-tabs

The Flexi-Tab System

The backing of our frames is secured using flexible metal tabs (flexi-tabs). To open your frame, simply bend these tabs upwards. For ease and safety, we highly recommend using a flat, blunt tool—like a butter knife or a flathead screwdriver—to gently lift the tabs rather than using your fingernails. Once your artwork is loaded, simply press the tabs back down flat to secure the backing board.

Peeling the protective film off the frame's acrylic glazing

Managing Protective Film

When you receive your frame, you will notice a protective film on both sides of the acrylic glazing. We intentionally leave this on during the manufacturing and shipping process to guarantee you receive a factory-fresh, scratch-free product. Leaving the film on until the very last moment of assembly is the best way to prevent static buildup and keep pesky dust particles out of your final display.
