Freestanding Options: Leg Stands & Strut Backs
Not every collection needs to go on the wall. For collectors who prefer to showcase their items on desks, shelves, or display cabinets, we offer excellent freestanding solutions for our smaller frames. Designed to perfectly support the specific weight and dimensions of your frame, our standing options give you total versatility in how you present your collection.
Standard Strut Backs
For our smaller frames, where possible we will offer them with an integrated strut back. These are built directly into the backing board of the frame, allowing you to instantly stand your item in either portrait or landscape orientation right out of the box, with zero assembly required. What's more is the strut leg can simply be folded flat if not required, when wall hanging. Note, we can only offer the strut backs for selected sizes and mouldings, as not only do the sizes have to be industry standard (6x4", 7x5", A4 etc.) but the mouldings also have to be slim such as our 22x22mm or 21x32mm.
Optional Metal Leg Stands
For many small frames listed on our website, traditional strut backs are not possible - since we almost always use a custom frame size. However, we have these metal leg stands as a useful and optional alternative. Again, only suitable for smaller, slimmer frames (like the 22x22mm), we make these available as a quick add-on for many listed frames. Sleek metal legs insert easily into a small bracket which clips onto the MDF panel at the back of the frame (before closing the frame), providing robust, stylish support that allows larger pieces to stand proudly without tipping. Then, if you wish to hang the frame, you simply remove the metal leg or insert it flush against the MDF. We can sell these legs and brackets separately if you need any extra.
