Hanging Methods & Hardware

Whether you are displaying a single graded card or a massive 151 raw card set, securely mounting your frame is critical. We specifically select and install the most appropriate hanging hardware for the size and weight of your custom build, ensuring it sits safely against your wall.

Sawtooth Hangers for Small Frames

For our standard and core range frames, we use sawtooth hangers. These are pre-installed on the moulding itself, allowing for quick, easy, and level hanging on a standard picture hook or nail. Sawtooth hangers are incredibly reliable for lightweight to medium displays, providing a stable center of gravity. The sawtooth hanger solution is something we only use for smaller frames, as when frames get larger and heavier one should avoid hanging from the top moulding - for example, we wouldn't use a sawtooth for a 10kg 50 graded card display.

D-Rings for Larger Displays

Larger custom projects - such as 40+ card multi-aperture frames - carry extra weight, sometimes heavier than 5kg, or even 10kg in some cases. For these jumbo displays, a single hanger won't suffice. Instead, we install a pair of heavy-duty D-rings on either upright side of the frame. This method distributes the weight across two points, ensuring your massive collection remains entirely secure on the wall. Please check each listing on our website - or our quoted specs if the order is custom - and we will confirm which hanger solution we will use. You can rely on Ridanco Displays to use the appropriate hanger according to the size of your frame.

Choosing the Right Spot to Display

You did it! You framed your cards, and your frame is now ready to hang. Finding the perfect place to hang your frame is about more than just finding an empty space on the wall; it is about protecting your collection for the long term. While our high-quality frames and UV-protective glazing offer incredible defence, no glazing can completely block the cumulative effects of intense heat and light. We always recommend choosing a spot away from direct sunlight, radiators, or damp areas. Hanging your collection in a cool, shaded spot is the absolute best way to ensure your favourite pieces remain vibrant and undamaged for years to come.
